Special scholarship scheme by UGC for North Eastern Region (NER) students to promote higher education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Permanent resident of North Eastern States (Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim).
- Passed Class 12 board exams.
- Family income under ₹4.5 Lakhs.
- Enrolled in regular UG degree in any Indian university.
Detailed Benefits
Monthly stipend of ₹5,400 for general degree and ₹7,800 for professional/technical graduation.
